Our aim
Each guide should help you complete one task: check a fit, compare styles, choose fabrics for heat, or care for a garment. We'd rather publish fewer, more useful guides than many thin ones.
How we choose topics
We start from questions readers already bring to the site. Search Console data for the previous US Hosiery website showed the most interest in bra fit, bra types, comfort and hot-weather clothing, so those come first. Before adding a guide, we check whether an existing page already answers the question; if it does, we improve that page instead of publishing a near-duplicate. We add a new guide only when it does a distinct job, such as the underwear guides added in October 2026.
How guides are researched and edited
- Each guide is built around one main reader question, answered near the top.
- Factual claims link to their source in the same sentence. We read the linked page to check it says what the guide says, and remove claims we can't support.
- We prefer public-health, clinical, university and standards sources. Brand and retailer pages are used only to show how that brand's own sizing or style names work, and are named as such.
- Practical try-on suggestions without a source are written as things to try, not facts.
- Before publishing, we check each guide against overlapping guides so answers aren't repeated, and link to the guide that covers a point in depth.
Who publishes the guides
Guides are published under the byline US Hosiery Editorial. We don't claim professional bra-fitting qualifications, and no guide on this site has been medically reviewed. If that changes for a guide, it will name the reviewer and their qualification.
Independence
- This website doesn't sell garments, and we don't accept payment to cover or rank products.
- We currently don't use affiliate links. If that changes, we'll label them next to the relevant recommendation and update this page.
- We haven't tested products hands-on, so we don't describe products as "tested" or "reviewed". Where a guide compares styles or features, it should explain the criteria.
Health and body topics
We write about garment fit and comfort, not diagnosis or treatment. When a symptom could be medical (persistent pain, numbness, breathing difficulty, lumps, or skin changes that don't settle), we say so and suggest seeing a qualified clinician.
Checks done so far on imported guides
Our current guides first appeared on the previous US Hosiery website. When they moved here in October 2026, we removed shop links, prices, offers and purchase buttons, and kept each guide's original web address.
On 25 and 26 October 2026 we rewrote and then re-checked all 21 imported guides. In that revision we:
- removed repeated phrases, duplicate answers and questions that didn't fit the topic;
- removed health explanations we couldn't support with a reliable source, rather than keeping them with a disclaimer;
- put a link to the source next to each factual claim, and checked that the linked page says what the guide says;
- corrected sister-size advice and explained band fit, cup volume and cup shape separately;
- turned "best" lists into guides to features and trade-offs, without product rankings.
These were editorial checks by US Hosiery, not reviews by a qualified fitter or clinician. Sources can change after we check them; if you find one that no longer supports a guide, please tell us.
Guides for teenagers
Guides for younger readers should use respectful, age-appropriate language and garment-only images. We never ask for photos.
Dates and updates
Every guide shows when it was first published and, when it has been meaningfully revised, when it was last updated. Imported guides keep their original publication date from the previous website. The Updated date changes only for a substantial revision, such as the rewrite described above, and the same date appears on the page, in its structured data and in our sitemap. We don't change dates for cosmetic edits.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it and note significant corrections. See our corrections policy.
Advertising
The site may show clearly separated advertising in future. Ads will never be placed to look like guide content, navigation or tool results, and advertisers have no say over what we publish.
